Just this past weekend, our TNTT chapter went to the first ever Knights of Eucharist convention. With eight regions of TNTT that makes up the 1000- people at the convention, our chapter is part of the West side. Otherwise known as.. Mien Tay.

This is the St. Louis Gateway, otherwise known as the Gateway to the West. Representing TNTT from the West Side. We welcome you.

Unlike other conventions where it officially starts on Friday, this convention started on Thursday. This meant that we were packed and heading out on a Coach America bus by 5PM on Wednesday. We drove all night through Kansas, Missouri and arrived at our destination in Carlinville, Illinois. As we drove through the states, it slowly went from dry hot to humid hot. By the time we stepped off the bus at Lake Williamson Christian Retreat Center, I specific remember the bus driver saying, You think its hot in here, its 105 with 100 percent humidity out there.

Truely, when we got off of that bus, it seems like a wave of heat just slapped us in the face. While waiting for our fearless leader to register in our chapter, we took off and started to take in the atmosphere of the convention. We ran around, talked to random strangers about nothing and everything.

Jump to us lining up outside the auditorium in the hot sun in preparation for the opening ceremony. This was one of the many moments of the convention where spirit ran high. It was here where our Knights of Eucharists, known as Hiep Si, had their eyes opened to the craziness of this convention. Despite the facts that they barely knew the guys standing next to them in line, united by their region, one voice, they screamed at the top of their lungs for their own region. For the next three days, shells were cracked and many Hiep Si got out of their comfort zones as they recognized that the guys standing next to them are their brothers and sisters in Christ.

People say time flies when you are having fun. It is true. It was like that.... and the convention was over. Next thing we knew, we were hugging and taking pictures with the strangers that stood before us three days prior. Although it has come to an end, the memories live on. The kindle of our spirit may have been twiddling from the wind  of the world, but  the convention has inflamed our fire, our thirst to spread the Word.
