This is a scene from Hanging Lake. This was taken on the Dead Horse trail.. After hiking this trail, we found out why it was named the Dead Horse. And no.. there was no dead horse at the end of the trail, it was more of.. a trail that had steep loose jagged rocks that was nearly impossible to go up and was impossible to go back down. The best part was that the trail stopped and there was no clear path. For this reason, we were stuck on the vertical faces of these canyons walls trying to find a way down/back with an afternoon thunderstorm rolling in at the time. It was about two hours of fun playing mountain goats trying to scramble through the loose rocks.

<div class=separator style=clear: both; text-align: left;>There are moments where my heart would race knowing the potential danger we were faced with. But at the end of it all, we were able to make it back down to the original trail head by sliding down the mountain on loose dirt. Definitely one of the scarier/fun part of the summer! Enjoy the picture!
